So I spilled soup on my Macbook and have been on the lookout for a new laptop since. My criteria is simple, good enough for me to be able to work on via email and great sound and picture quality.
Imagine my excitement when I heard about that ASUS have worked with non other than Bang & Olufsen (!!!) to develop the new Sonic Master Technology. Check out this interview on TechInStyle *click* with ASUS Audio Consultant Henry Huang if you want more info about the background and the sound system.
To prove that superior sound quality they're promised, they've developed a new interactive site, The Music Box, where you can make your own musical greeting and send it to your friends and family (somewhat like elf-yourself). There's basically 5 easy and fast steps - first you choose a character you and upload your photo. After that, you'll be asked to record a tune, sort of a greeting or song if you're into that sort of thing. You're finally asked to write a short the message and send to your friends so they can play the game themselves or if you're brave and don't take yourself too seriously, share on Facebook or Twitter.
Pretty cool huh? Have a go at it yourself here *click*
It has pretty impressive specs too, with their 14.6 inch N53JN model boasting a Core i5 CPU, NVIDIA GeForce FT325/415M graphics with Optimis, 320 GB of storage, a Blu-ray drive and USB 3.0 ports.
They come into the market with pretty attractive price points too, with models ranging from £650 to £999, making this a strong contender for my next laptop.
Awesome!
